I created 12 kitchen pantry labels you can use to organize your pantry by adding these to the canisters and containers in your pantry.
I sometimes grow strange attachments to things. There are times I’d rather hold onto or hoard something than use it. I do this with office supplies (soooo many cute notebooks), stickers, and I also do it with vinyl! One of my aversions to using it is the fear of messing it up and wasting it! I know I’m not alone in this fear! I even go so far as to save all my scrap vinyl in hopes I can use them someday! Well I finally came up with a project to use up those scrap pieces: DIY kitchen pantry labels!

Choosing the Right Materials
In crafting kitchen pantry labels, it’s essential to pick materials that can withstand the environment of a busy kitchen. Water-resistant and oil-resistant labels are crucial for items prone to spills, such as spice jars and oil containers. A P-touch label maker has become my go-to for creating durable, stylish labels that resist smudging. These are great for under the sink or in the cabinet, but I wanted some cute pantry labels I could display!
Here’s my favorite inexpensive Mini Thermal Printer:
Using vinyl labels means tapping into my collection of excess vinyl scraps. This approach is not only cost-effective but also environmentally friendly. For a flawless application, I use transfer tape which helps in placing the labels smoothly on clean surfaces without any air bubbles.
I had a hard time finding cute kitchen canisters that I liked to hold my sugar and flour so I got these simple plastic containers with differently colored lids. We’ve been using them for a few years, and after a little powder mishap I decided to label them so there’s no confusion! I had a few chalkboard labels for a while but between my messy handwriting and the messy chalk – these just weren’t for me! Making my own vinyl labels was the perfect way to label all my storage bins!
Designing Your Labels
Designing these labels was a fun creative outlet. In the Cricut Design studio, I started with an oval frame, resized to fit my vinyl scraps perfectly, and added text for the specific canisters I had in mind. The result? Custom labels that fit the ‘perfect size’ criterion and brought a cohesive look to my pantry containers.
