We made it! It’s the reveal of our Living Room Makeover as part of the One Room Challenge! Going into this 6 week challenge, I thought this would be a piece of cake based on my plan from Week 1. We only had a couple of DIY projects planned but knew they would make a big impact! We had a few challenges along the way, including moving this huge DIY entertainment center into place and putting up a faux coffered ceiling for our DIY ceiling makeover. I hope you’ll click back through and see the progress of this room, but we all know what you are here for: PICTURES!
My little buddy is always camera ready 😉
I love that we were able to incorporate SO. MUCH. COLOR. into this room! That was one of my main objectives for the living room makeover and I think we succeeded 😉
I incorporated pieces from our travels into the decorating. The Calavera is from a trip to New Orleans and the little elephants are from Asia travels.
If you’ve followed along, you’ll remember the DIY coffee table and how it was a partial fail. We were able to save it by using some quality wood and this time around we decided to leave the wood unfinished. I love how it turned out!
I found this orange garden stool and it gave me the perfect place to incorporate a plant into the room. I believe every room should have at these one living thing (that isn’t human!)
Are you as obsessed with this rug as I am? When I found this amazing rug from NuLoom I knew I HAD to have it! It was perfect for our space and just the fun, colorful, and playful vibe I was going for in this space. It’s the right combination of colors, durable enough for a high traffic area, and DID YOU SEE THE TASSELS? if there was ever a rug meant for me – this is it!
Don’t forget to PIN for later!
