Spending time in the backyard with family and friends is one of my favorite ways to relax and have some fun! As much as we love barbecues and cold drinks on a summer day, we also enjoy playing outdoor games such as cornhole.
Also known as beanbag toss, cornhole is a game with simple rules that can also be played in teams, and let me tell you….it can get pretty competitive!
You can always take the easy option and buy a cornhole game although making your own is super easy, and you can customize it to your liking. I have some amazing DIY cornhole boards to show you and I am hoping at least one of these projects will convince you to tackle it.

DIY Cornhole Boards
When I decided to make my own cornhole boards it was because I wanted to make them lightweight and collapsible so they will take very little storage space. I only used one sheet of plywood and basic tools, and it was truly a fun and easy project.
Here is a cornhole board that comes with straightforward plans and has a sturdy design that will last you a lifetime. Even better, RogueEngineer also provides plans for a matching cornhole scoreboard. How cool is that?
