Even if you can’t afford to call in the professionals, there are still options available. I am happy to say this is a DIY project that’s totally doable. I don’t think you can describe the sense of accomplishment you will feel when roasting S’mores around the fire pit you built with your own hands but it will be worth it, I promise! Here is a no-fuss stone fire pit that's perfect if you want sturdy results with minimal effort. Both kids and grown-ups will definitely love spending time around it.
A concrete fire pit is another budget-friendly option and it has a nice modern look that will wow your guests.
A lot of DIY fire pits are built using fire rings. They are definitely optional but will make the fire pit more durable in time and prevent the outer bricks from getting charred.
Starting with an old propane fire pit you can end up having this beauty in your backyard. And yes, I would dare to say that couch should also be mandatory!
What I love most about this particular project is how perfect the stones are arranged. It seems like the trick to getting them so nice and tight is using a rubber mallet.
