Tools
- Drill
Instructions
- Cut one of the 1x2x6 boards into four 18-inch sections.
- Stain or paint your wood.
- Drill evenly spaced holes on each side of the two 1x2x6 boards then drill corresponding holes on each side of the 18 inch boards.
- Spray paint your bolts.
- Assemble your DIY blanket ladder!
You can do whatever size wood you want for the project and could even make it taller if you wanted (use the 8 foot boards instead of 6 foot boards!)
I chose carriage bolts because I liked the round head, but if you already have hex bolts or something else on hand you can use those! The flat tips are better though (won’t poke or scratch!!).
My favorite part of my DIY blanket ladder is the the blue bolts! You can paint and stain yours to fit the style and decor of your home. I stuck mine in a piece of styrofoam to hold them in place to add a quick coat of spray paint.
