I feel like we’ve been in fast forward lately! So much going on and so much to do. We’ve been traveling a lot and have spent a lot of time planning our wedding. Many of the major to-do’s have been checked off the wedding to-do list but there is still a lot left. I had a great weekend the first of this month when I met my Mom, Nana, and several friends in Dallas to go dress shopping. I surprised them and asked them to be my bridesmaids! Of course that had to have known but I wanted to do something special for them.

We have just returned from an awesome road trip. We left Houston and drove all the way to Perry, GA (south of Atlanta). I got the chance to meet many of Eric’s family members during their family reunion. They were so welcoming and we had a wonderful time. Georgia is BEAUTIFUL! Lots of swimming, eating, and games! Inflatable water slide included! Such a great time; I can’t wait to go back and visit again (and pick up some more Georgia peaches).
Luckily for this little ADPi, Perry is only 30 miles from Macon! Eric and I took a side trip to Wesleyan College and I got to see the birthplace of the First and Finest Sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. I’m so proud to be a part of such a prestigious organization. We visited the College and then the cemetery where Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald was buried. I’m so glad I had a chance to visit.
After we left Georgia we made our way back west and spent a few days in New Orleans! I tried a lot of good food including red beans and rice, a muffaletta, and beignets. I got sick towards the end of the trip so that was no fun but now I’m back in Texas recuperating.
