Last month I hosted a Galentine’s Day Craft Party at JoAnn’s Fabric and Crafts here in Houston. We had a fun evening snacking on delicious cupcakes from Whisk Bakery and creating Valentine’s cards. All the ladies had a great time and learned a thing or two. For a few, it was the first time they had the chance to try using a needle and thread. Everyone did such a great job and I can’t wait to host my next craft party!
The first Galentine’s Day card we created was made with 2 colors of card stock. On the smaller piece on the front, we traced a heart and used a needle to poke holes around the edges of the heart. Next, we ran thread through the holes to create a fun geometric design. The second card, was made a similar way, but we put a tiny envelope with hearts spilling out and a cute sentiment, “sending my love”. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut most of the pieces before the party but these Galentine’s Day cards could easily be recreated, even if you don’t have the machine.
I’m not sure how I could top the cuteness of this party (the adorable decorations were sponsored by Minted), but I’m brainstorming ideas for my next craft party! I’m thinking wreath making? Welcome mats? Something with POWER TOOLS!? The possibilities are endless!
What craft party would you like me to host next? I would love to get more ideas!

I had such a great time, and those Whisk Bakery cupcakes were to die for. Can I second the power tools, please? Thanks for being such a fabulous host, and person.

Oh my gosh how fun!! I love being crafty, we used to make cards like this in middle school and I haven’t really done it since. I’d love to attend the next event you host! 🙂
